How to Access the APPA Membership Application

Step-by-Step: Setting Up APPA Portal Account

Creating your APPA Portal account is the first step toward accessing the membership application and unlocking exclusive industry benefits with the American Pet Products Association (APPA).

Follow these steps to set up your account and begin the membership application process.

1. Go to the Portal

Create your account using your username and password or via email using a Magic Link.

2. Update Your Profile

  • Visit the My Account Page to complete your profile.

  • Make sure to use your company-provided email address for full access.

  • Submit the form and verify your email if prompted.

3. Check Your Company Information

  • If your organization is already in our system, you'll see details about the company on the My Account page. 

  • Once you submit your Membership Application, you'll receive access to Edit the information about your business.

4. Access the Membership Application

  • Click on My Resources in the main navigation.

  • On the tiles of the page, select Membership Application 

    • Note: we recommend you also review the Membership Requirements and Compare Membership Tiers pages.

  • Complete your application form.

    • As part of your application, you must upload at least two of the following documents to verify your business:

      • Invoice showing current business operations

      • Current business license

      • Articles of Incorporation or Partnership Agreement

      • First page of your most recent business tax return

      • Tax Identification Number (TIN) letter

      • Utility bill in the company’s name

      • Business banking statement

  • Follow the on-screen prompts to complete and submit your membership application.

5. Await Your Approval

Once submitted, your application will be reviewed by the APPA membership team. You will be notified by email once your membership is approved. To activate your membership, you must submit payment via the link provided at the time of approval.
